The first phase of the Riyadh Masters 2024 tournament has ended, and we had to bid farewell to four teams already. Meanwhile, the remaining eight teams in the Play-in stage have advanced to the Group Stage.

On the final day of the Play-ins, four teams faced off against each other in elimination matches.

The first series of the day featured MOUZ taking on Virtus.pro. The Western European squad could take the first map after a series of scrappy plays from both sides.

In the second game, Virtus.pro had a great start, building an 8,000 net worth lead at the 23-minute mark. However, Ulnit had an impeccable performance on his Sven, going 11/0/8 to carry his team to a quick 2-0 victory.

With this result, Virtus.pro has been eliminated from the tournament. It is also worth noting that they missed The International, so roster changes might be looming.

The next course of the meal was between LGD Gaming and Nouns in another elimination match. The first map turned out to be an easy victory for the Chinese squad after shiro had a completely free game on Lifestealer, going 9/0/10.

However, the second game was where all the action was at. It turned out to be a 90-minute game, which is the longest game of the entire tournament so far. The game was incredibly back-and-forth, with both teams constantly trading net worth leads. However, the Chinese squad displayed better teamwork and ended up taking the game after an hour and a half.

The standout player of the game was Pyw, who transitioned his position four Weaver into a carry. He went 18/5/19 from the support role.

Unfortunately, the only representatives of North America, Nouns, will exit the tournament early.

Now, the sixteen teams for the Group Stage have been decided.

There is a three-day break between the Play-in and Group Stages, so the Dota action will resume on the 10th of July.
