Earlier it became known that Xtreme Gaming declined to participate in the championship at the last moment. All because team member ??Lou "lou" Zhen couldn't get a visa to the United States. Because of this, PGL decided not to look for a substitution, and there will be 8 participants in Group B instead of 9.
In the PGL Arlington Major 2022 Group stage, all participants will be divided into 2 groups, where they will compete for the playoffs slots. A total of 6 participants qualify for the next round:
- 1-4 places advance to the upper bracket of the playoff stage;
- 2-6 places advance to the lower bracket of the playoff stage;
- 7-9 places leave the championship.
PGL Major Arlington 2022 takes place on August 4-14 in Arlington, Texas. The championship is held at Esports Stadium Arlington with a live audience. It features 18 teams from 6 different regions and has a $500,000 prize pool.
