Esports analyst Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen has released a quarterly chart showing the relationship between appearing in the Dota 2 new professional players and leaving the old ones.
The chart starts in 2013 and is broken down by quarters. Blue represents the number of new players, red represents the number of players who left the scene, and yellow represents their difference.
As you can see, since 2018, there has been a negative trend, and every quarter fewer and fewer esportsmen remain in the game.
The second chart shared by Noxville shows the number of active esportsmen in the professional Dota 2 scene.
This chart confirms the first one: the number of players on the professional stage is gradually decreasing.
