Meta4Pro withdrew from DPC: Europe – its players are suspecting of participating in match-fixing
The European team Meta4Pro withdrew from the Dota Pro Circuit: Europe Lower Division. The organization made this decision after conducting an internal investigation, the reason for which was the suspicion of the team's participation in match-fixing.
Meta4Pro official statement:
This decision was made after the last two meetings with the Hippomaniacs and burjui teams. We have reason to believe that some players were not playing fair and may have been involved in 322 stories.
We do not want to name specific names and nicknames now, as there is no 100% confirmation from the commission that this is really the case. The work to identify the violation is being carried out and will be completed.
Tournament operator DreamHack has canceled the results of all Meta4Pro matches. Thus, the team takes the last place ahead of schedule and is eliminated from the league.
According to the team's coach, the final Dota 2 roster was formed right before the start of the open qualifiers for the Regional Leagues.
