DLTV Updated Team Rankings: June 27
The Bali Major is just over the horizon, where the best Dota 2 teams in the world will meet up to compete for glory. If you've been out of the loop, here are DLTV's top ten teams you should look out for coming into the Bali Major.
Despite Liquid's lackluster performance in DreamLeague Season 20, where they finished last place, the Top 3 teams remain unchanged. It's hard to argue that there are better teams than these three Western European teams, so they will keep their positions as the big three.
Other than the top three teams, the rest of the top ten has changed. Evil Geniuses are now ranked number four globally, as the South American team consistently finishes at least top six in big tournaments.
The most significant shift in the rankings is the BetBoom Team, climbing up seven placements after their second-place finish in DreamLeague Season 20. The team has shown massive improvement since Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko and Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko swapped their roles, and they look to deal some real damage in Bali.
PSG.LGD have also climbed up after replacing Nicholas "zeal" Lim with Li "niu" Kongbo in the offlane position. The Chinese team finished first place in the second Group Stage of DreamLeague Season 20 and ended the tournament in the top three.
Shopify Rebellion and Team Spirit have dropped three and two places, respectively, primarily due to EG, BetBoom, and PSG.LGD developing at a fast pace. These two teams must step up in Bali to climb the rankings again.
Finally, Talon Esports and 9 Pandas swapped places in the 9th and 10th positions. Despite not qualifying for the Bali Major, Talon still finished DreamLeague Season 20 in the top four, a respectable achievement. Meanwhile, 9 Pandas couldn't find their footing and finished 7th place in the same tournament.
