burjui has been disqualified from the DPC: Europe Lower Division
Tournament operator DreamHack has posted an announcement about the disqualification of team burjui from the DPC: EU Lower Division on its website. This is the second team to leave this division.
The organizer stated that burjui received a disqualification for faking a player's COVID-19 certificate in the announcement. The team planned to use substitutions in more than 4 matches. As a reason for that, it provided the organizer with a certificate, but DreamHack decided to verify it for authenticity. Now, all the team's matches were canceled.
Just yesterday, it became known that another team from the Lower Division, Meta4Pro, refused to participate in the tournament, suspecting that its players participated in match fixing. Their results were also canceled. Thus, both teams that leave the European Regional League after the first season are known - Meta4Pro and burjui.
