9class Support TA Beats Liquid, Tundra Survive To The Final Day
The day before the final day of PGL Wallachia Season 4 brought interesting results, and we’re down to the final three teams.
Team Liquid took on PARIVISION for a spot in the Grand Final. Historically, the latter has won seven matches in a row, starting from ESL One Bangkok 2024. After PARIVISION took a convincing first game, Team Liquid bounced back after putting down Satanic’s Phantom Assassin, who committed to a Divine Rapier, keeping the series level.
In the third map, PARIVISION first-picked Templar Assassin in the draft and moved it to position four to allow Satanic to get an unexpected last-pick Morphling. As a result, 9Class played it as a support. Though the hero didn’t function too well as a support, 9Class made lots of space on the map by luring Team Liquid heroes, relieving pressure from other lanes. Eventually, it was a neat 28-minute win for the Eastern European squad.
For the final series of the day, Tundra Esports faced off against Team Tidebound for the remaining Lower Bracket Final slot. The former demolished the first map with a kill score of 33 to 5, completely shutting down Faith_bian’s Bristleback, who ended the game 0/11/1.
The second map was looking like a quick day in the office for Tundra, as they amassed a 22,000 net worth lead. However, impact from NothingToSay and shiro helped Team Tidebound mount a massive comeback, forcing a decider. Still, Tundra displayed that they were the better team by quickly winning the third.
Tundra is set to play against Team Liquid, with the winner advancing to the Grand Final to have a go at PARIVISION.
